Since I am in the process of reviving the game, the first release might take a while. However, I'm making this thread to show people what I'm planning on adding. I'll separate everything by categories.
Graphical Stuff
SkyX, a system that renders the sky, lighting, weather, etc. Below is a screenshot of a night time seen with SkyX.
HydraX, a system that renders water. As you can see, the water here looks a lot better than the default Impressive Title water.
Voxel terrain instead of heightmaps. Enough said.
New Character animations
I'm hoping to totally revamp the character animations since most of them are extremely ugly tbh.
Gameplay Stuff
Players vs. Player Combat
What this means is two players or groups can fight each other. However, PVP (Players vs. Player) won't be allowed in protected areas. However, if you want to fight in a protected zone, you must request a battle with a group, party, or player, and you will only be allowed to attack the group, party, or player you requested to attack. However, in a unprotected zone, you can be attacked. However, players under a certain level can disable this and be in unprotected zones safely. (Not sure about the level system, but I don't know yet.)
Leveling
I'm not exactly sure about leveling since it gives players an unfair advantage over other players. If I can find a different way to add levels so it's fair and fun for everyone, then by all means I will do so.
Questing
Questing won't be mandatory, but you can quest to earn money, exp. (If leveling is added), skills, items, you name it. You can receive quests from NPCs in protected areas.
Character Creation
Screen One: Species Selection, Gender, and Name.
Here are the following species I'm planning on adding as of right now:
Felines
Canines
Equines
Bears
Deer (As well as animals similar to deer, such as antelopes.)
Anthropomorphic animals (Half human, half animal, but more animal than human in this game.)
Rodents, rabbits, etc.
Screen Two: Talent (AKA a certain skillset you will get a boost in when you create your character.)
A talent is something like magic, close ranged combat, cooking, whatever.
Screen Three: Customization of your character part 1.
This screen will have:
Manes, hairstyles, tufts, etc.
Face shape.
Ears and tails.
Age and size. (Maximum and minimum sizes will depend on the species you chose. For example, you can't have a rat the size of a horse, and you can't have a horse the size of a rat. Sorry people.)
Screen Four: Customization of your character part 2.
This screen will have:
Markings.
An ability to choose different textures for your character. (E.g different eye textures, hair textures, fur textures.)
Color picker for every part of your body.
New Flight System
I think it would be cool to have different flight speeds as well as a cooler way to fly. Instead of just using the arrow keys to move your character, why not combine that with your mouse so you can turn where you point your mouse? Kinda hard to explain, but whatever. I also want to add various aerial attacks and tricks.
Hunger Bar
Not eating won't kill your character, but it will drain your stamina and mana and won't let you perform to the best of your abilities. You can eat prey that you kill or purchase food and eat it.
Map Editors
I'm planning on adding a map editor similar to FeralHeart's except more user friendly. You will be able to spawn prey, mobs, etc. However, it will be limited to prevent people from spawning certain prey to obtain a certain item.
OPTION 1: Items, skills, levels, etc. you earn inside a player created map won't be taken with you over to the official world.
OPTION 2: Prey won't drop items, exp., or skills.
OPTION 3: Limit it so only a certain number of a certain prey can be added.
You will be able to visit maps through an area that shows all the custom maps you have downloaded to your game.
More to be added.
Will these all be added in the first release?
No. This is stuff I hope to have by the final release or one of the later (like, a lot later) releases of the game.
